Funsho The Voice | Meet Nigerian-born Contestant on The Voice

Funsho The Voice is his new nickname. He is the Nigerian contestant on Season 15 of the American music show “The Voice” on NBC.

The vocalist caught the attention of coaches Adam Levine, Kelly Clarkson, and Jennifer Hudson at the blind auditions. He had all three coaches turn for his rendition of ‘Finesse’ by Bruno Mars.

Funsho Adenugba, 29, was born in Lagos, Nigeria. He lived in Nigeria for seven years before relocating to the United States with his family. They now live in Lanham, Maryland. He graduated from the University of Maryland.

Funsho grew up around music. His sisters sing in church and his mother grew up with musical aspirations. When he started getting serious about music, Funsho began doing open mic nights. Then he performed at schools and released an acoustic album.

Funsho started the competition on team Adam and ended up on team Blake after the coach saved him from elimination.

Through his performance, Funsho was able to display his vocal range, hitting some really high notes while thrilling the audience with an unforgettable experience.

Unfortunately, he was eliminated from the show recently. This by no means is a dent on his career. We believe Funsho has a very bright future in entertainment and he can only go higher from here.

Meanwhile, Funsho has reportedly quit his government job to focus on his musical career. He plans on moving to Los Angeles to pursue music full-time.

We wish him all the best in his future endeavors and we’re rooting for his success. You can find him on his social media pages on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.
