Good-tasting dish for a Good Friday.
What a great way to celebrate this holiday! You can’t go wrong with the traditional white rice, grilled chicken, and a sauteed beef. Also, you may add fried plantain to give your guests something to talk about.
Ingredients: Rice, Salt to taste, and Onion powder (optional).
Simply boil rice in water. If you are using parboiled rice, boil for approximately 20 minutes. Parboil. Then cook for another 10 minutes.
Ingredients: Chicken, Salt to taste, 2 cubes of Maggi, 1 onion, and 1/4 teaspoon of Thyme.
Directions: Place chicken pieces in a pot. Add salt, Maggi, and Thyme for taste. Finally, cut 1/2 of an Onion into the pot. Boil until tender (approximately 35 minutes). Some people prefer not to cook the chicken; rather, they grill right away. For health reasons, it is best to cook the chicken to 30-35 minutes. Lastly, Turn the oven to ‘Grill’ at 500 degrees Farenheit. Next, place the cooked chicken in the oven. Grill for 15 minutes; then, flip the chicken over and grill the opposite side for another 10 minutes. Grill until chicken is brown.
Ingredients: Vegetable oil, onions, bell peppers, garlic, and the main ingredient, beef.
Directions: Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat; then, cook and the beef until brown. A good time is 3 to 4 minutes. Next, Move beef to the side of the pan and add bell peppers, sliced onion, and garlic to the center of the skillet. Cook and mix for another 2 minutes.
Cool and serve.
