For the brave souls who like to skip the striped pajamas or shorts at bedtime, Sleep experts now have stats to prove that sleeping naked is good for your body.

Researchers found that sleeping naked is not only comfortable, but “it regulates your skin temperature, preventing you from waking in the middle of the night” (PubMed).

Forgoing clothes at bedtime additionally keeps bacteria that thrive in warm moist areas away; Doctors believe it boosts your immune system if you sleep naked with your partner. So, researchers and doctors highly recommend you sleep without those fancy pajamas at night.

In a nutshell, you need to keep your body cool at night — which is good for your metabolism. Also, it helps prevent bacterial infection in women.

So, in United States, only about 12% sleep naked at bedtime. To be quite honest, it still sounds a bit strange. I wonder if the number will increase given that doctors and scientists have approved going to bed nude?
