What Are Your Top 5 Pet Peeves?

An iNubian sent this to be shared with you. She shares her top 5 pet peeves which I find interesting as I can identify with about 2 of them.

Read on and don’t forget to leave your comments.

“I don’t have pet peeves like some people. I have whole kennels of irritation.”Whoopi Goldberg

We all have our pet peeves. Loosely defined by Wiki as “a minor annoyance that an individual identifies as particularly annoying to them, to a greater degree than others may find it”. What are some of yours?

Here’s a short (emphasis on short.. lol) 5 bullet list of mine.

1. People who drift in and out of their lane when driving.

Dear Lord, have mercy on me a poor sinner, because I cannot stand it. Drivers who keep drifting dangerously close to your car – and they’re usually on the phone, texting, applying make-up or trying to eat a burger with 2 hands.

2. People who stand too close to you when in line for example at the store or get too close during conversation.

Do you understand the concept of personal space? It means a certain distance is required when you interact with others. I am entitled to you not breaching within at least 3 preferably 4 feet of my oxygen space. Not negotiable please.

3. People who make noises when they eat.

Is there anything to add to that?

4. People who don’t park well and take up 2 parking spaces.

Personally, I think it says a lot about a persons complete disregard for others. But I have been known to exaggerate in the past lol.

5. Purposely miss-spelled names that parents think are ‘cute’

“No, you didn’t spell it right, its not Michael, its Michaiel, Michayel, Mikhael, Michail, Mychael, Michaell…” etc etc. Why inflict this kind of confusion on the world? If you want a unique name then create one, this just causes confusion and throws the rotation of the poor earth out of sync.

Anyways, those are my top 5. Share yours…

    Some of my pet peeves:
While I’m relatively annoyed by drivers weaving in and out of lanes, I’m more pissed at drivers who drive too slow. Holy crap! If you cannot drive fast, either set your blinkers on or park your vehicle at home. And for goodness sake, don’t stay on the damn fast lane; it’s called fast lane for a reason. If everyone drives slow, there’ll be traffic jam on every street all the time. For goodness sake, drive at or close to the speed limit; there are more cars on the road than the roads can handle :).

I can identify with number 2; it’s plain annoying, especially if you have BO or smelly mouth. Not cool, bro.

Those who do number 4 should be whipped….constantly.

On number 5, every parent thinks their kids’ actions are cute; the kids growing up with a self-entitlement mentality. I think a lot of young adults and adults have this mindset. Lord have mercy.

    It’s me.
