Susan Stillwaggon, a 35-year-old New Jersey woman was arrested this week and charged with lying to multiple people that her son had cancer. She even lied to the 9-year-old boy himself.

Stillwaggon told family and friends that her son was diagnosed with cancer, and accepted fundraising from them. According to the police, the mother of four spread the news through word of mouth and her Facebook page that her son had a type of lymphoma.

Officials were alerted after they received a call from the child’s elementary school because the school officials became suspicious.

One cannot help but wonder the kind of morals she instills in her children. It’s mind-boggling what people will do for money.

Stillwaggon was charged with third-degree theft by deception, third-degree forgery, second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, and second-degree using a juvenile to commit a criminal offence, CBS Philly reported.
