Adding soy to your diet could ease painful irritable bowel disease (IBD) symptoms.
Researchers have found that if you add Soy to your diet, it can ease IBD Symptoms. Irritable bowel disease (IBD) mainly describes Crohn’s Disease (CD) and Ulcerative Colitis (UC) – the most common types.
CD can affect the entire digestive symptom, while UC focuses on the colon. Symptoms for both conditions include abdominal pain, weight loss, extreme tiredness and recurring or bloody diarrhea. Unfortunately, the cause has not been found. Also, there is currently no known cure for the painful disease.
However, if you have these symptoms, there is hope. The new study shows that adding soybean to a victim’s daily diet may improve symptoms of weight loss and an enlarged spleen.
The researchers published their results in The Journal of Nutritional Biochemistry; they believe it will help in the near future for those who want to use soy as a substitute for meat.
