The Fast and Furious 8: Fate of the Furious hits theater today.
Most sequels tend to flop, but so far, this movie has exceeded expectations. The hit series landed in China and shattered the box office collecting more revenues than the previous Furious.
Fate of the Furious also set a record Thursday night for most revenue earned from midnight previews, pulling in RMB 56.5 million ($8.2 million) to overtake Furious 7‘s RMB 52.5 million ($8.5 million in 2015; $7.6 million today). Hollywood Reported cited.
Well, it is a great day for the cast which featured the returning all-star cast: Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Nathalie Emmanuel, Elsa Pataky and Kurt Russell. In addition to Theron, the series welcomes newcomers Scott Eastwood and Oscar® winner Helen Mirren.
Short Description/Plot: “With Dom and Letty married, Brian and Mia retired and the rest of the crew exonerated, the globe-trotting team has found some semblance of a normal life. They soon face an unexpected challenge when a mysterious woman named Cipher forces Dom to betray them all.
