For the love of a reclining seat!

This drama started on a Jetstar flight from Phuket, Thailand to Sydney, Australia. First, a woman reclined her seat back to a man’s mom. The man did not bother to politely ask the female stranger to raise her seat up. Instead, in retaliation, the man rose out of his seat and hit the woman’s seat

Once the male passenger clipped the woman’s seat, Mashable reports, the woman punched him in the face and in return the male passenger punched her as well. Also, the Daily Telegraph noted that both passengers were removed from the flight once it arrived in Sydney.

An eye-witness and passenger, Scott Haywood told 3AW:

“One of the passengers was distressed as a lady put her seat back on his mother. It was a night flight, so it was two or three o’clock in the morning. This other passenger got out of his seat and clipped that woman’s seat who did that to (the seat of his) mother three or four times.”

What was the consequence of this unbelievable incident? Jetstar released a statement to Mashable. It noted the public that these customers are not allowed to travel with them for life!

“We don’t tolerate disruptive behavior by passengers on our flights. We will conduct a review with a view to banning these passengers traveling with us in the future.”
